Barbaresco is the less tannic sibling of barolo. The wine here is also made from the nebbiolo grape, but typically aged for a shorter period. The pioneering family behind roberto sarotto make it on a single vineyard called currà. It's complex, refined and smooth, with hints of roses, violet, plum, liquorice and chocolate. It was aged for two and a half years, so it's a harmonious wine that compliments red meats excellently.
