What are sominex tablets sominex tablets are specifically designed to help induce a healthy nights sleep, especially if you are having trouble to drift off into a peaceful sleep due to stress, interruption to your normal sleeping routine, jet lag, or a change in lifestyle. These tablets helps to relieve occasional disturbance in your normal sleep pattern. Who can take sominex tablets suitable for adults and children over the age of 16 this product is not eligible for returns ingredients active ingredients promethazine hydrochloride 20mg other ingredients lactose, maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate. Ingredients usage how to take sominex tablets for adults, the elderly and children over the age of 16 one tablet taken with water at bed time. If you find it particularly difficult to get to sleep you can take a tablet one hour before bed instead of taking one as you go to bed. This medication shouldnt be taken for more than 7 consecutive nights. Drowsiness can last up to 12 hours so if affected please do not operate heavy machinery or drive. Alcohol should be avoided with this medicine. Please note that sominex can affect pregnancy test results and allergy tests. Possible side effects like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Elderly people may be more susceptible to the side effects or confusion when taking this medicine. Serious side effects if you think you have any of the following side effects or symptoms, stop using this medicine immediately and see a doctor as soon as possible. Allergic reactions which cause rash, difficulty in swallowing or breathing, swelling of the mouth or skin, vomiting or stomach pain jaundice yellowing of the skin and eyes muscle stiffness or shaking being unable to control some muscles in your head or face unusual movements of the tongue, facial muscle spasms, rolling eyes and trembling palpitations or abnormal heart rhythm low blood pressure dizziness and lightheadedness blurred or reduced vision or pain in the eye listlessness and lack of energy tiredness which lasts for a long time. This may be due to a blood problem called anaemia.
