This fantastic sussex stained glass making workshop is a full day’s introduction to the world of stained glass. During the workshop you will learn all about the process of making stunning stained glass, with step by step instruction from an experienced stained glass artist. Creating beautiful stained glass is a fun way to get in touch with your artistic side and produce something original and beautiful. 

 the stained glass making workshop begins in the morning 10 am with a quick look at a variety of stained glass, safety briefing and an outline of how the pay will run. You will have an opportunity to look through various glass samples for inspiration, and then watch the instructor demonstrate how to cut glass. When the demonstration is finished, you'll get to try glass cutting yourself using scrap glass and a set of specific ‘learning shapes’ while you practice. 

when you have got used to using the glasscutter and can accurately cut basic shapes, you'll start your main project. You can then choose your project from a range of designs of varying difficulty. You will be able to discuss your choice with the instructor, and make your decision based on playing to your strengths along with the ease difficulty of each design! The rest of the morning will be spent cutting glass to use for your project, before taking a well earned lunch break. After lunch you will be shown how to put your designs together bending and cutting lead cames to surround each piece of glass. After observing another demonstration, you'll solder it together to finish your very own panel of stained glass and, of course, you get to take your masterpiece home with you!
