70cl 48.2% distillery bottling this exceptional whisky was produced during brora’s last distillation run of 1977, the end of the storied distillery’s so called ‘age of peat’. Brora closed in 1983 and stood silent long into the 21st century before undergoing a remarkable restoration and reopening in 2021. This 45 year old single malt shows all the remarkable complexity and sweet peat character we’d hope to see from these smokier vintages. A genuinely rare experience.
