This 92 point claret is made by château meyney, the only winery in médoc that has clay soils similar to those at £2,500 per bottle pétrus. It's a second wine in name, but it's made with the same care as the grand vin. The only difference is that it's from younger vines which are still, on average, 35 years old. Its depths of black fruit flavour and snappy tannins and beginning to hit their peak right now.
