We sent our award winning buying team all around the world on an exciting mission to curate a new collection showcasing the best examples of key regions, styles and grape varieties – at great prices. And since chianti is one of the undisputed icons of italian wine, we just had to add one to the range. To make it, we went to a producer whose roots in the region date back to 1882. They’ve blended the best sangiovese grapes with small portions of ciliegiolo and canaiolo to create a smooth, complex wine with intense red fruit flavours and aromatic notes of herbs. Its soft tannins and silky texture make it wonderfully food friendly – enjoy it with classic italian dishes like pizza, shared with good company.
