Château la garance 'vieilles vignes' 2013 is a traditional graves red made from 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon. Owned by maison dourthe, the estate is part of a wider commitment to producing terroir driven bordeaux wines with precision, creativity and sustainability. The wine is vinified with temperature control and aged on fine lees in oak barrels, 31% of which are new. Now mature, it shows notes of black cherry, cassis, cedar and subtle spice, with soft tannins and a savoury, medium bodied finish.
