Hewitson has access to some of the oldest dry grown pre phylloxera vineyards in the world – so they felt like the perfect partner for our iconic barossa shiraz. Dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint, hewitson run their winery entirely on solar energy, recycling all water used in cleaning and washing, and encouraging natural biodiversity in the vineyards. Owner dean hewitson has been planting and harvesting grapes since he was a child in his parents’ small vineyard, and founded the brand with his wife louise in 1998 out of an 1850s barossa valley home.
