Many people associate the new zealand region of marlborough with sauvignon blanc, but it also produces some of the new world’s finest pinot noir. Our definition example is made by pioneers saint clair, a second generation family winery that has been growing in the region since 1978. Grapes come primarily from the clay based southern hills, where naturally small yields result in wines with enhanced character.
