It's a fruity whisky, matured in a bourbon cask and packed with tropical fruit, soft spice and vanilla. Distilled at mars's komagatake distillery, formerly known as shinshu, in nagano, it matured in the company's ageing cellar on yakushima island, situated off the south coast of japan.
