This mix of hay and straw is specially formulated for hedgehogs. It is an ideal ground cover for a hedgehog house. With this ground cover the hedgehog has extra protection against the cold during hibernation. The hay and straw are of high quality. It has been inspected for colour, it has been checked for mould and all foreign components have been removed. Characteristics of good straw are that it has a fairly hard structure and a beautiful golden yellow colour. Good hay can be recognized by its smell and low moisture content. Place a hedgehog house in a quiet place in your garden. Preferably in the vicinity of the hedgehogaposs regular walking route. Fill the bottom of the hedgehog house with a good layer of bedding for hedgehogs. Make sure that the opening remains free so that the hedgehog continues to have access to the house.
