House sparrows are sadly in decline across europe, partly due to habitat loss and a shortage of natural nesting sites. By installing a nest box, you can replicate their preferred nesting environment and encourage them to breed near your home. The house sparrow multi boxes are available with different hole positions, on the left, right or in the middle of the box, so they can be placed side by side, keeping nesting groups close. The 34mm hole size is perfect for house sparrows.  the nest boxes can hang under eaves, gutters, or on walls out of direct sunlight and prevailing wind. They must be placed at least 3 metres from the ground, for safety. No nesting material is required, and all screws and fixings are included. To clean the nest box, simply open the box on the side and carefully remove the old nesting material, before cleaning and drying thoroughly.
