world war 1 is raging  in this film from the 1930's where vivien leigh  plays a stockholm dwelling british double agent who delivers false  allied information to the german intelligence  hq in paris. However, she falls in love with a suave baron who just happens to be heading up the german intelligence gathering efforts. When  madeleine meets german soldier karl von marwitz conrad veidt, she falls head over heels. Karl, who is seemingly a footman of low rank, turns out to be a high ranking official in the german army but madeleine has secrets of her own she is a spy, working for the allies. As madeleine and karl are  sucked further into the brutal war, it may ironically be their risky and forbidden love that saves their lives. Release date   26th march 2018 no.
