The highly entertaining and outrageous comedy starring om puri, linda bassett, archie panjabi and jimi mistry about what happens when two cultures clash within one family… critically acclaimed modern british film classic. Pakistani chip shop owner george khan lives with his white wife, ella, and their seven children in 1970s salford. George wants to raise his children as devout muslims and believing them to be living unruly lives, tries to discipline them with little success. The free spirited youngsters seem determined to ignore his moral advice – but a shock is in store for two of his teenage sons in the shape of arranged marriages.
