When it comes to argentinian winemaking, trapiche helped write the book – they have more than 135 years of experience in the country, pioneering grape growing since 1883. They’ve sought out unique and remote locations to grow grapes, not only at the foot of the andes, as in the case of this wine, but also on the coast. Working with more than 300 growers in mendoza, winemaker sergio eduardo casé has taken their reputation to a new level, recently snagging wine enthusiast’s best new world winery gong at the wine star awards. With aromas of red fruits, plum, vanilla and black pepper, and smooth tannins, this is everything you want an argentinian malbec to be. Pair it with grilled meats, pasta and semi hard cheeses such as gouda and gruyère.
